i bet that kind of acting is one of the hardest things in the world.
it doesn’t seem like acting but real, as a matter of fact.

Good point, I’m from there originally and try to explain exactly that regarding the variety of accents that change over short distances. However the Monty Python humour was a satire of GB in general. They all came from various comedy backgrounds. This particular skit is very much an English satire, some others were directed towards Scottish, Welsh etc. I used to marvek back in 69 and 70 how they got away with some of it.

Firstly, learn to differentiate between british and english: British means of the british isles (or of britain), and by that definition, England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Mann, and Eire if you mean the isles. English is of English, not specifically britain. There is no “British Accent” and you’ll find enormous differences between different countries within the british isles.

Secondly, it was made by an english comedy team, Monty Python – a very famous one at that.

No not at all. It’s a skit satirising the British

…and don’t you think it was very ahead of it’s time the way Eric was using the word ‘wicked’ the way he was doing here in 1969?
